Opening weekend of Duck Season (east side)

This weekend I went to Klamath Falls for the opening weekend of duck season on the east side. My friend Matt and I left Portland around 2pm in the afternoon and skipped our history of dentistry class to do it. We made a stop at sportsmans warehouse in Clackamas on our way to pick up ammo. We headed over the cascades and picked up Matt's Friend Mario in Bend and proceeded down hwy 97 to Klamath falls. When we got into town we went to the local bar where we met some of the locals. After two hours of sleep we woke up the next morning at 4am to go duck hunting. We were joined by Matt's brother for the hunt. That day we limited out and our best shooting was jump shooting ducks off a canal by our spot. That afternoon I drove down to Ashland to pick up some of my stuff. I headed back to Klamath after a shower and a quick nap. The next morning we hunted the same spot and had better success with ducks coming into our decoys because of the low lying fog. We did not limit out but we did shoot about 20 more ducks. That afternoon we headed back to Portland with a quick stop in bend to drop off Mario. Contrary to popular beleief no studying was actually achieved this weekend.
